Boko Haram

Boko Haram had five Female suicide bombers who  killed more than 31 a few days ago at Damboa, 31 in the Government area.
Following the attack they concentrated on those who were celebrating Eid al Fitr holiday.
Then the bombers turned a rocket propelled grenade onto the crowd that had gathered after the killings! Boko Haram has been quiet for a couple of months and now we see what is happening, they are consolidating their group in Nigeria. What happened to all those girls that were kidnapped all that time ago? Are they going to start that again? Life for a female in Nigeria is not a good prospect!   What happened to the marches last year of Free our girls! It is concerning that they have decided on female suicide bombers. Back in the old days in Libya, Gaddafi had female soldiers in the bad old days. But they were not fanatics like this!

Boko Haram moves again!

Nine suicide bombers blew themselves up killing 19 people in a series of attacks that targeted girls and young women. They concentrated on marketplaces and the girl suicide bomber aimed at a tea vendors cafe. The north eastern city Maiduguri, the birthplace of Boko Haram's eight year insurgency.
"One of the suicide bombers was female she actually crept to the sand bag post of our boys at Molai and before they had realised what was happening she detonated herself and killed three of our boys"
This was reported by State Police Commissioner Damian Chukwu. Some young women who escaped extremist groups have said that the girls were drugged and forced to carry out suicide missions, we do not have verification that this is true.
After the kidnapping of those girls from Chibok, the School girls have been released in small batches,
unfortunately, Boko Haram seems to be going strong, although I believe that Nigeria would like to be free of them, that might take longer than we think.

What happened to those girls?

A week ago on the World Service Ludovica Laccino from The International Business Times wrote that the Nigerian president would take a fresh look at the kidnapping of those 219 girls from that evening class in Chibok in April 2014. There had been a demonstration in Abuja by the parents who said Bring Back our Girls! Boko Haram have been reduced to an area around Lake Chad; he now says that securing these girls will be his priority!
We wait with bated breath to see what happens!
Now we see new developments as a single girl was found from that same group, she had just had a baby. Why did Boko Haram release this girl for what purpose? The other parents must have hope that their own daughters will be found.
Again we wait with bated breath.
